FAQs:

Q: What do we need to bring?

A: Captain Si will provide everything needed for your day on the water. Simply bring a hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and your favorite beverages and snacks (Alcohol is allowed, but please stay hydrated). It's also a good idea to bring a small cooler to store your fillets, if your trip is not Catch-n-Release.

Q: Can we eat the fish?

A: Captain Si strongly encourages catch and release practices, however he has no problem keeping up to your legal limit.

Q: Where are you located?

A: Nelson Guide Company is located at:

Heron Harbor Marina
314 Harbor Blvd
Destin Florida 32541

Once you arrive, find a parking space and follow the directions on the signs to pay for your parking. Captain Si can help you with this if necessary. Come down to the water's edge and head to the end of the T-pier. The Jack 'Em Up is slipped at the very end of the T-pier.

Q: What will we fish for?

A: There's way too many species native to our waters to answer that exactly, however Captain Si is very experienced at targeting them all. Captain Si usually focuses on getting some tight lines and then depending on the length of the trip, may shift the focus more towards targeting a unique trophy.

Q: What if it rains?

A: Weather cancellations are at the discretion of Captain Si. Captain Si will fish in any weather as long as it's safe. However, if your trip is canceled due to weather he will reschedule your trip if possible, otherwise your deposit will be fully refunded.

Q: How do we pay?

A: You may pay with cash or card, however at the time of booking we will require a card on file to secure the deposit. You may pay the balance to Captain Si at the dock once your trip is completed.

Q: What is your cancellation policy?

A: Cancellation is required at least 30 days before the scheduled trip, in order to receive a full refund on your deposit. If you no call/no show you will be charged the full price of the trip, no exceptions.

Q: Do I need to tip Captain Si?

A: Yes, you should tip Captain Si after your trip if you have been properly served and he's been a good host (15%-20% is customary). If for some reason you feel a need to tip less than this, please let Captain Si know why, or call 850.803.BOAT(2628) for a more private conversation with a third party. Captain Si prides himself in providing a remarkable experience for everyone time and time again, and appreciates constructive criticism.
